Our Journey: Develop the Finest Legal Leadership Network in Georgia

The Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network (GACR Legal Network) is the official Georgia affiliate of the College Republican National Committee (CRNC) with a mission to help train the next generation of conservative legal and political professionals. The GACR Legal Network was established by a group of student leaders who shared the belief that college students can be provided with the tools, resources, and opportunities necessary to make a meaningful impact on Georgia’s legal and political communities. Today, the GACR Legal Network represents the largest College Republican legal chapter in the country, based out of the University of Georgia, and is well-represented on campuses across the State.
What We Do: Organize. Educate. Lead
At the core of the GACR Legal Network lies a mission statement that addresses a significant need while providing a commitment to its members: to lead, organize, and educate. The future of legal advocacy will depend significantly on today’s students, who represent the next generation of leaders dedicated to upholding conservative values, the rule of law, and constitutional principles. This association envisions uniting a vibrant community of forward-thinking legal practitioners capable of dynamic thought, thoughtful action, and resolute character-fully equipping members for their academic endeavors and their future roles as legal and political leaders.
Our Goal: Develop the Next Generation of Legal Leaders
GACR Legal Network pursues a series of goals that reflect our dedication to the empowerment of students and the advocacy of conservative legal thought. To that end, we seek to offer once-in-a-lifetime opportunities in legal and political education via panels, guest speakers, and interactive courses. In addition, we aim to create unity among college chapters throughout Georgia by encouraging collaboration and networking. Furthermore, we strive to provide key experiential opportunities in legal activism-from campaigning to voter outreach, legal observation to grassroots initiatives. Finally, we are greatly invested in the personal and career development of each member, so that they may be better poised to enter the field and make an impact in the legal realm and elsewhere.
What We Have To Offer: Programs, Services, and Opportunities
- Legal and Political Education: Interactive skill-building workshops, practice lectures by guest attorney speakers and judges, constitutional law seminars, and policy debate fora
- Leadership Development: Training for executive board positions, mentorship programs, and opportunities to run for chapter and state office
- Advocacy Training: Hands-on workshops in legislative advocacy, campaign strategy, and grassroots organizing
- Collegiate Chapter Programs: Launching and maintaining campus legal chapters, including resource toolkits and advisor support
- Legal Campaign Activism: Running campaign volunteer teams, voter outreach programs, and legal observer activities
- Networking Events: Annual legal leadership conferences, career connections events, and opportunities to meet attorneys and other professionals as well as teacher alums through mixers
- Communications: Periodic legal updates, action alerts, and opportunities for publishing in our statewide newsletter
- Alumni Relations: Ongoing mentorship, shadowing opportunities, and support for legal internships and job placement
Leadership and Organization: Powered By Students
The GACR Legal Network is a 100% student-run organization, which is in line with our belief in students being in control of their own destinies and associations. The association is overseen by a State Chairman (currently Peter Minetos) and an executive board formed from elected student leadership at chapters across the state of Georgia. Each chapter on campus remains autonomous with regard to local events, but also benefits from the guidance and experience of the state leadership. This ensures that any member can have a say in the direction, priorities, and impact of the association.
Participation and Membership: Be and Make a Legal Impact
GACR Legal Network membership is open to all Georgia college students from all majors who are interested in legal, political, and conservative advocacy; there are no required fees. Active membership entails campus chapter participation, volunteering in legal and political programming, attending events, and running for leadership positions. We welcome donations to support our legal education and advocacy programs.
All students are welcome and can join the mailing list to receive up-to-date information on upcoming events and legislative news, as well as how to get involved. Whether you wish to be an attorney, a policy maker, or just want to make a positive change in your community, GACR Legal Network offers assistance and academic support.
