Join the Future Leaders of Georgia’s Legal Community With GACR Legal Network

As part of our longstanding mission to foster leadership and learning among college students in Georgia, the Georgia Association of College Republicans has launched a program that has been driving success in both legal and political organizations around the first committee man’s state: The Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network (GACR Legal Network).

The University of Georgia is home to the largest College Republican chapter in the country, but with hordes of aspiring attorneys at every major university statewide, College Republicans is expanding its mission. Where else can you find such high concentrations of aspiring attorneys willing to work with some of the most intelligent minds of both the legal and political worlds?

We strive to develop such high quality legal young professionals by providing opportunities for leadership, service, and research in the fields of both law and politics:

The GACR Legal Network is a student-led initiative that seeks to identify students eager to take their futures into their own hands and become advanced advocates for the beliefs they hold dear. We seek to fulfill this mission by creating a warm environment for skill development and to connect students of any discipline with other like-minded people; including schools, the Georgia Republican Party, and current legal practitioners.

Join the movement and participate in legal activism and other grassroots initiatives at georgiacrs.org. Our mailing list is a great way for students to subscribe for updates and join for opportunities to get involved and other information.

Our Programs and Services

GACR Legal Network programs offer comprehensive legal and political education, leadership development and advocacy training. We´re also quite good at organizing chapters at campuses, like the first legal chapter in Georgia at UGA. We’ve championed a variety of legal activism, including attending General Assembly and lobbying, volunteering for election campaigns, and campus voter registration drives, just to name a few.

But wait there’s more! Our students can also expect to have exposure to:

The Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network for Good is not only the largest and most vigorous College Republicans legal chapter in the Country as attested by those who (should be) much more likely to know well established and selected alumni. It is now arguably the most alluring and idyllic Legal and Political Experience conceivable for those considering law and legal methodologies. And it does not stop there. It goes well far beyond being ‘quite good’! In short, ALL students especially those with legal aspirations should consider joining.

Leadership and Organization

Meet the student leaders driving GACR Legal Network, ensuring a representative governance structure and dynamic leadership.

We believe it is vital to bring relevant voices into the fold of our nascent organization. To that end, we are entirely student run. Every individual who holds a leadership position, whether that be the State Chairman or any of our executive board members, is an elected or appointed college student. We even break up our executive board into regionally selected representatives (while viably ensuring that all geographical areas are represented within our leadership group).

Currently, GACR Legal Network is led by State Chairman Peter Minetos, who is charged with overseeing our overall goals, vision, advocacy impact, and active recruitment efforts. He is assisted by an executive board of college students from chapters throughout Georgia. The executive board is charged with monitoring and reporting on the activities of GACR Legal Network members to the State Chairman, so that he may remain appraised of all actions taken by legal network organizations and individuals.

Student leaders and legal network in Georgia

Unique Advantages of GACR

GACR Legal Network is the largest College Republican legal chapter in the United States. This chapter is organized and led by students in Georgia. In fact, we’re the only 100% student led organization where students decide who becomes a legal leader and what issues to pursue. Because we’ve established direct ties with the Georgia Department of Labor, our members learn what it takes to be active in the American legal system.

GACR Legal Network expands rapidly driven by organization and enthusiasm. We have chapters from Mercer University in Macon to Valdosta State University in South Georgia. Our size enables strong regional presence and an instant growth advantage. We have strong ties to the Georgia Republican Party and Georgia Young Republicans. Through our leaders in politics, members benefit from a deeper insight on practical legal matters.

Membership in the GACR Legal Network entitles members to distinction among law students. If you are a graduate from a Georgia College Republican Chapter then you are a regular member of the GACR Legal Network, which includes all of the benefits granted to members of the GRP legal network.
