Introducing the GACR Legal Network Membership

Joining the official state affiliate of the College Republican National Committee, the Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network, is about more than just becoming a member of an organization-it’s about joining a movement that will help shape the future of legal advocacy throughout Georgia and beyond. GACR Legal Network connects thousands of like-minded college students with aspirations of becoming our generation’s legal and political leaders on campuses across the state.
In this area you will learn about the process to become a member, some of the amazing benefits of membership, and the various ways you can engage with us to truly make a difference in your community. If you are ready to lead, engage, organize, and educate alongside fellow movers and shakers in Georgia, this is where you sign up. This is also where members can always return for additional resources.
How to Join as a Member
Joining the GACR Legal Network is an easy and open process for equipping students at all stages of their college careers. Membership is open to all college students-whether or not you have had experience in the law, legal internships, or political activism-who are currently enrolled at any college or university in Georgia.
Here’s how to get involved:
- Register with your campus chapter. Most students register through the university-specific campus legal chapter in your area. Attend a chapter meeting, or contact your campus chapter president to get started. Don’t have a local chapter at your school? Email us to form a new one!
- Fill out your online membership form. We maintain a brief online membership form that tells us whom to connect you with for your campus chapter, legal career opportunities, and the statewide network.
- Subscribe to our mailing list. Information on upcoming events, legal news, leadership opportunities, and advocacy campaigns are sent to members via email. Subscribe at [email protected].
- Attend a new member orientation or kickoff event. New members are invited to attend a welcome orientation or kickoff event (held at the beginning of every semester), where you will meet fellow law students and learn about our programs and how you can get involved with our legal activism from day one.
There are no mandatory dues or fees. Membership is based on your willingness to carry out the mission of GACR Legal Network and represent our values of legal integrity, conservative leadership, and community engagement.

Leadership and Chapters
GACR Legal Network is all about student leadership and local empowerment. Each chapter is led by a team of elected student chapter officers: Chapter President, Vice President, Secretary, and Legal Affairs Coordinator. Local leaders are empowered to collaborate with the statewide executive board-which includes State Chairman Peter Minetos-to ensure each region’s voice is heard and represented.
The statewide executive board coordinates chapter support, event planning, legal advocacy, and outreach between chapters and partner organizations like the Georgia Republican Party and Georgia Young Republicans. Leadership positions are open to any active member, and participation provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build experience in organizational, political, and legal skills from the ground up. Students interested in forming a new chapter or running for a leadership position may contact us for information and resources on how to get started. For more details, visit our Leadership page.

Our mission is to dismantle the barriers to entry for students seeking legal involvement and provide all members with the resources and support they need to be successful.
Engagement of Alumni and Donors
GACR Legal Network alumni make vital contributions to the mentoring of current students and enhancing our statewide network. Alumni return regularly to speak at events, advise on career panels, and provide other types of career advice to law students in their transition through law school and into the professional world.
Individual gifts from GACR Legal Network alumni and friends directly support legal education and pre-law school programs, scholarships, grassroots advocacy programs, and more. Membership is always free, but we welcome voluntary gifts to help us support our mission. Contact us at [email protected] if you would like to support GACR Legal Network.
