Welcome to the Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network (the “Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network,” or “GACR Legal Network”) website. By accessing, browsing, or using our website and related content and services, you agree to these Terms of Use. These Terms of Use govern your relationship with the GACR Legal Network in respect of their related services, resources, and content. Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using our website or participating in any programs we offer. If you do not understand and accept any part of these Terms of Use, you must not access our site and services at all.

The GACR Legal Network, as the official Georgia affiliate of the College Republican National Committee (“CRNC”), provides a unique opportunity for college students across Georgia seeking education in legal matters, opportunities to advocate particular issues with sound legal arguments, and leadership curriculum. Our website is the entry point for information, tools and resources, and opportunities to get involved. These Terms of Use apply to any persons who visit or otherwise use the services of the GACR Legal Network website (our “website”), including but not limited to members, supporters, alumni, affiliates and other visitors to our website (all collectively referred to as “you” or “your”).

Terminology

“GACR Legal Network,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means the Georgia Association of College Republicans Legal Network, its executive board and representatives acting with authority to do so. “A User,” “you,” or “your” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses GACR Legal Network’s website, services, materials, and/or technologies, whether as a member, volunteer, alumni, supporter, visitor, etc. “Website” means the official GACR Legal Network website and any other affiliated digital presence including, but not limited to websites and social media channels maintained by or on behalf of GACR Legal Network. “Services” means all legal and political education, leadership development programs, advocacy programs, events, publications, communications and resources paid for and/or delivered by GACR Legal Network through means including, but not limited to the website or other digital networks. “Content” means all text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, documents, sets of downloadable information or materials and other information or data available on or through the website. “Membership” means GACR Legal Network membership as represented through student participation, volunteer participation and membership in an affiliated chapter.

Changes to the Agreement

GACR Legal Network (“Network”) reserves our right to change, modify or amend these Terms of Use at our sole discretion, at any time, and for any reason. Changes will become effective when they are posted on the site. It is your responsibility to continue to check back and read the Terms of Use from time to time to see if they have changed. Your continued use of the site and/or services subsequent to any changes being posted on the site will be considered acceptance by you of such changes.

Eligibility and Membership

Our website and services are geared toward Georgia college students interested in legal and political activities with the Republican Party of Georgia. Membership in GACR Legal Network is open to persons enrolled at an accredited college or university in Georgia and who meet the additional eligibility requirements (if any) established by GACR Legal Network and chapter.

GACR Legal Network welcomes alumni, supporters, and legal practitioners to browse the website, attend public events and support organizational activities. Members-only services, resources, and leadership positions may be reserved solely for student members. Membership is offered free of charge, while participation and membership are voluntary. We reserve the right to verify eligibility and deny or revoke membership at our discretion.

Services Description

GACR Legal Network offers a range of legal services and programming, such as (but not limited to) the following:

  • Legal and political education workshops, leadership seminars, and advocacy trainings for college students
  • Support for campus legal chapters across Georgia, networking opportunities, and statewide partnership
  • Opportunities to engage in legal activism (including campaign volunteering, voter contact, and in some cases, legal observation)
  • Professional-legal events, networking receptions, and continuing education for aspiring attorneys and legal professionals
  • Partnership with state and national Republican legal organizations to promote professional development and policy advocacy
  • Regular legal updates and communications through email and other platforms
  • Alumni outreach, mentoring, and support for career advancement in the legal profession

We particularly aim to provide these services with a focus on professionalism, inclusion, and respect for differing views within the conservative legal movement.

User Duties and Responsibilities

As a professional utilizing the GACR Legal Network website and related services, you agree to:

  • Use this website or related communications services solely in respect of legal practice and business development, and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Use;
  • Not post, transmit, or share any materials that are illegal, defamatory, abusive, harassing, offensive, indecent, sexist, discriminatory, fraudulent or otherwise objectionable;
  • Not infringe the privacy, intellectual property or other rights of other users and members and of third parties
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any area of the website, member areas or restricted resources;
  • Not cause the degradation, damage, impairment or disruption of the website, its servers or its security systems; and
  • Supply accurate and complete information when applying for membership and/or when registering for membership services (including for events or conferences) or correspondence.

Breach of these conditions may lead to suspension or withdrawal of access to the website, services and/or legal action where appropriate.

Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and resources contained on the GACR Legal Network website (including without limitation, text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, software and documents) are the property of GACR Legal Network or its licensees and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download or print content from this website solely for your personal, non-commercial use provided that you do not modify, remove, or cover up any copyright or other intellectual property notices. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, adapt or create derivative works of, distribute or otherwise exploit in any way any content from this website without the express written permission of GACR Legal Network. Unauthorized use of the GACR Legal Network intellectual property may give rise to civil or criminal liabilities.

User Contributions

The GACR Legal Network website may permit you to submit, post, or transmit content such as comments, articles, photos, videos, or testimonials (“User-Generated Content”). By submitting User-Generated Content, you grant the GACR Legal Network a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such content in connection with the GACR Legal Network services.

You agree and represent that your User-Generated Content:

  • is original to you, or that you have obtained all rights and permissions necessary in order to submit
  • does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other rights of any third party
  • is in compliance with all applicable law and these Terms of Use

The GACR Legal Network may remove, edit or refuse to post any User-Generated Content in its absolute discretion. The GACR Legal Network is not responsible for and assumes no liability for user-submitted content.

Privacy Policy and Data Privacy

Your privacy is a matter of priority for the GACR Legal Network. Please refer to our Privacy Policy (which is incorporated by reference and forms part of these Terms of Use) for details about the way we gather, use, store, and otherwise deal with your personal information. In using our website and our services you agree to such collection and use of your information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

We will take reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction. Transmission of information via the internet or any method of storage cannot be guaranteed to be totally secure and we cannot warrant the total security of your data.

From time to time, our website may include links to third party websites, properties or services that are not owned or controlled in any way by GACR Legal Network. Donations and Financial Support

GACR Legal Network accepts voluntary contributions to underwrite its programs and contributions are applied in their entirety to the network’s programs as set forth in the statement of activities on its website. Contributions may be paid using methods set forth on its website. As a condition of making a contribution, the donor agrees that: all contributions are voluntary, not revocable and not refundable except as may be specifically set forth otherwise; the donor is an authorized user of any credit card, debit card or other payment method utilized to make the contribution to the GACR Legal Network; and GACR Legal Network will not be liable for any failure of any credit card, debit card or other payment method authorized by the donor which is utilized by the donor. GACR Legal Network is a student-led association. The GACR Legal Network is not a registered 501(c)(3) organization. We are not able to accept your gift as tax deductible. Events Registration and Participation

GACR Legal Network conducts various events, meetings, workshops and training programs (each an “Event”), including those in which access is limited to GACR Legal Network members and those which are open to the public in general. Registration for Events may require submission of personal information and may be subject to additional terms and conditions specific to the Event.

In connection with any GACR Legal Network membership Event, you agree to:

  • Submit accurate, current and complete event registration data;
  • Abide by all rules, codes statements or conduct and directives of the Event organizers;
  • Consent to being photographed, videotaped or recorded as part of the Event, some of which may be used for promotional and/or marketing purposes;

GACR Legal Network reserves the right not to accept or register you for the Event and/or to cancel or terminate your Event registration or attendance at any time at GACR Legal Network’s sole discretion.

Warranties Disclaimer

The GACR Legal Network website and any related information, services or other materials are provided by GACR Legal Network on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and GACR Legal Network makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the website, content or services, including but not limited to:

  • fitness for a particular purpose;
  • merchantability;
  • accuracy, completeness or reliability of content;
  • performance, continuity or timely availability of data;
  • that content is current; or
  • non-infringement of any party’s intellectual property rights.

We do not guarantee that the website, website content or services: will be uninterrupted or error free; will meet your expectations and requirements; or that errors will be corrected. You use the website and any related content and services at your own risk.

Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GACR Legal Network and its executive officers, board officers, members, affiliates and partners shall not be liable in any way for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use or inability to use the website, any content or services on the website or the website content or third party content linked from the website. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GACR Legal Network, its executive board, officers, members, affiliates, and partners from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) resulting from or incurred by your:

  • use or misuse of website (including its publications or services);
  • violations of these Terms of Use;
  • violation of any law or the rights of a third party; and

GACR Legal Network reserves the right to assume the defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you will cooperate fully in our defense.

Termination and Suspension of Access

GACR Legal Network has the right, in its sole discretion and without notice or liability, to suspend, terminate, or restrict your access to any portion of the website or services for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Your breach of these Terms of Use
  • Your conduct that is harmful to others or illegal
  • Security-related concerns and unauthorized access attempts

Termination will result in your immediate loss of your right to use the website and the services. The Terms of Use provisions that by their nature are meant to survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.

The GACR Legal Network aims to provide users with a safe, respectful and collegial environment. You hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in Georgia for resolution of any legal matter arising from these Terms of Use or your use of the Site and services.

If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

All content and resources offered from GACR Legal Network are available for educational, informational and advocacy purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. Nothing on the website or otherwise offered from GACR Legal Network creates an attorney-client relationship between you and GACR Legal Network, or any of its members or affiliates.

Alumni and Mentoring Activities

GACR Legal Network encourages alumni and experienced legal practitioners to stay involved with the Georgia Association of College Republicans. We offer alumni engagement and mentorship programs designed to enhance the professional growth of members, and to facilitate networking and camaraderie between generations of Georgia College Republicans.

The participation in alumni and mentorship programs may be further subject to certain rules, guidelines and expectations, which may be provided separately. We reserve the right to check eligibility and terminate participation for failure to abide by these terms or program rules as applicable.

Chapters and Affiliates

GACR Legal Network consists of campus legal chapters and affiliated student organizations at colleges and universities across Georgia. Chapters function under the umbrella purpose and values of the association, but may implement their own bylaws, leadership, and event activity programming.

Chapter activity must adhere to these Terms of Use, organizational policies, and applicable law. GACR Legal Network is independent and is not liable or responsible for the activities of individual chapters or affiliates except as otherwise approved by the executive board.

Dispute Resolution

If any dispute, claim or controversy arises out of or in connection with these Terms of Use, your or your use of this website or participation in any GACR Legal Network forums, you agree to make a good faith attempt to informally resolve such dispute with us by making contact with us at [email protected]. In the event that informal resolution is not possible, any and all disputes are to be resolved according to the Governing Law and Jurisdiction provision of these Terms of Use. Respectful communication and mediation is advisable and encouraged whenever possible before controversy erupts in our community.

Severability and Waiver

If any term, clause or provision of these Terms of Use is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable then that provision shall be construed as severable from the remaining terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Failure by the GACR Legal Network to enforce any right or provision under these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use and the policies, guidelines, or rules otherwise referenced in these Terms of Use together with the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and GACR Legal Network with respect to your use of this website and service. All prior agreements, representations, course of performance or course of dealings are superseded by these Terms of Use.

Additional terms may apply to your online network specific services/programs; in case of a conflict between such terms and these Terms of Use, such terms shall govern.
